École de Pensée was born from the idea of creating an utilitarian men’s wardrobe that transcends time and trends. The brand's approach consists in offering collections that are coherent from season to season, evolving while maintaining a balance in the cuts, the materials and the craftsmanship. Always made with the greatest attention to details, all the pieces are crafted using fabrics that are meticulously selected from English, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese mills.
Opting for a style that is both understated and singular, École de Pensée redesigns staples from the traditional men's wardrobe by restyling them and infusing them with its passion for alternative cultures. By playing with the volumes and the composition of the pieces, the brand opens the door to countless possibilities in terms of layering. The way of wearing and interpreting the pieces is inspired by the very personal way of consuming culture and art, in addition to following the same concept of flexibility and freedom that characterizes the latter. The founders’ deep interest in emerging cultural movements, spontaneous art forms and photography is in fact the central element around which the brand’s universe evolves.
École de Pensée is an independent brand, but before all else, it is a collaboration between its two founders Marc André Garand and William Lessard. A collaboration that takes shape through a confrontation between two creative minds, influencing and challenging each other, that results in a common vision of fashion. The project draws its energy from this confrontation and evolves at the same pace as its founders. In fact, it is their common vision, or in other words their own “école de pensée”, that led to the brand’s name.
